Mock Trial Case

We have begun working through a mock trial case that we put to trail after the break. Students need to be knowledgable of the witness statements and will be responsible for several roles during trial.

Norfolk Four / Plea Bargaining

Read the section in the book on Plea Bargaining. what is it, (how does it work) and what are the pros and cons.

Watch the video and give your opinion on plea bargaining based on your reading, in class discussion, and the video.

Study Amendments 1-10 &14 on pages 587-593

We will have an Amendments quiz on Wednesday over the first 10 amendments and 14. Outline the amendments and be prepared to list the guarantees of each.

Chapter 8 assessment

Read chapter 8 and complete activities. (8.1, 8.2, 8.3) With a partner create a scenario that includes the parts of crime discussed in the chapter. Your objective is to stump the class as they attempt to uncover the elements and guilty parties of your story. DUM DUM DUM...ala murder mystery sound.
